POSICIÓN DOCTRINAL

DOCTRINAL POSITION

Byblos Theological College and Christian Union Theological Seminary, Inc. believe and maintain that the Bible is properly drawn. That

the New Testament (The New Covenant), is the only rule of faith and conduct. The CTB and the STUC Inc. have adopted the following statement of faith as the official standard of their doctrine.

This is what we believe:

  • That the Bible is the Word of God, and that it is verbally inspired.
  • In a God who has manifested himself and who exists eternally in three persons, who are: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. That he died on the cross, that he was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. That he ascended into heaven and is today seated at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor.</ Li>
  • That we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God for all, and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
  • That the process of justification, regeneration, and the new birth is effected through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • That the process of sanctification is subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, through the Word of God and by the work of the Holy Spirit.
  • That the holiness of God must be reflected in believers, and must be the norm of life for the Church.
  • In the baptism with the Holy Spirit, subsequent to the cleansing of the heart, after the New Birth.
  • That believers be baptized in water by immersion, and that all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • That divine healing is provided for all believers in the atonement, that is, Christ’s death on Calvary’s cross.
  • In the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, and in the practice of washing the saints’ feet.
  • In the ministry of evangelization, and in the call to the Great Commission given by Christ to his Church, to go throughout the world and make disciples of all nations.
  • In the Second Coming of Jesus Christ before the millennium. First, to resurrect the sleeping saints and catch the living saints to Him in the air, before the Great Tribulation begins. Second, to reign on earth with the saints for a thousand years.
  • In the last resurrection, eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for the wicked.
  • In a new heaven and earth.
